Every Pokemon – Generation III

With generation 3 of Pokemon, the creators knew that they had something exciting on their hands, and something which they could run with and really move forward with. So they did things a little differently by introducing a whole bunch of brand new Pokemon, and unlike generation 2 you don’t have very many in here which are related to those in the previous couple of series. Most of what we have in generation 3, starts its evolution in generation 3. It was also the first generation which ran for more than 4 years, running for 5 from 2002 until 2006 inclusive. It covered Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, all on the Gameboy Advance and and also saw the Fire Red and Leaf Green remakes.

How many Pokemon are in Generation III?

The Pokedex goes from 252 up to 386, meaning that there are 135 Pokemon which have been classified in this ingame system for series 3.

What are all of the Pokemon in Generation III?

The list below is meant to give you an idea of the name, type and evolutions of every Pokemon as they are today, but I will try to cover any of these changes in notes at the end if you’re interested and checking up on your knowledge!
