Nerd News: New Funko Pride Collection for It gets Better

This isn’t the first time that Funko have done a Pride collection of pops to support It Gets Better, an organization that uplifts, empowers, and connects LGBTQ+ youth around the globe, but it certainly looks like the better of the collections! The last one was one which I really thought was great because of the cause but I don’t think it was executed all that well. It was a collection of 4 figures if I remember right which had the rainbow paint job and it was translucent which I thought was amazing, but then when our Spongebob one arrived it just lacked any kind of brightness or flair.

This new collection seems to have done away with the translucent vinyl and I think it looks like a great choice – those colors this time around pop so nicely! And it’s a much bigger line this time too Available to purchase from various retailers this time around we have:

  • Mickey Mouse
  • Minnie Mouse
  • Goofy
  • Stitch
  • Wall-E
  • Deadpool
  • BB-8
  • a Stormtrooper
  • Tina Belcher

Although judging by the retailers over here in Europe we are missing Minnie Mouse, Goofy and BB-8 in the European market at the moment. Head on over to pop in a box now for the best price here in Europe from what I can see – pre order for £9.99. They’ll be shipping in June of this year as part of Pride Month.

It’s always nice to see companies not being shy about supporting LGBTQ+ groups and organisations and as I always say, some of my absolute favourite pops are these ones which raise money for organisations such as It Gets Better.

hands down my absolute favourite Mickey Mouse to date and easily one of the top 3 or 4 storm troopers which Funko have made… They’ve made some damn cool storm troopers in their time!
