The Most Inspirational Quotes by Chadwick Boseman as King T’Challa in Black Panther

The movie, Black Panther is full of amazing dialogue, whether its tongue in cheek, outright sarcastic, sharp & powerful or just straight up cool… you need all of these to gel together for a decent cinematic experience these days. Super hero films are the action films of the modern era where people like Rambo and John McClaine have been replaced by the Hulk, Captain America, Batman, Superman and of course King T’Challa to name just a few. The nice thing about super heroes is that there are so many of them, we can all find someone to relate to!

Black Panther did something which no other superhero film had done to that point… Bring the black community together with a hero whom they can relate to! But King T’Challa didn’t just bring black movie goers together, he brought all who saw the film together, because some of what he says in the film is truly inspirational. I think we all need to honor the late great Chadwick Boseman bu going back and revisiting this amazing film and taking on board some of his teachings… He’s more than just some guy in Lycra… He speaks like a true wise king!

For the sake of this article I wont be focusing on his best lines or the most inspirational lines from the whole film… I want to focus on the most inspirational and poignant things which King T’Challa said in Black Panther:

“I am not king of all people. I am King of Wakanda. And it is my responsibility to make sure our people are safe and that vibranium does not fall into the hands of a person like you.”

“You were wrong – all of you were wrong – to turn your backs on the rest of the world! We let the fear of discovery stop us from doing what is right. No more! I cannot stay here with you. I cannot rest while he sits on the throne! He is a monster of our own making! I must take the mantle back. I must! I must right these wrongs!”

“What happens now determines what happens to the rest of the world.”

“Wakanda will no longer watch from the shadows. We can not. We must not. We will work to be an example of how we, as brothers and sisters on this earth, should treat each other. Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another, as if we were one single tribe.”

“I will not abandon someone to die, when I have the means to save his life.”

“Our weapons will not be used to wage war on the world. It is not our way to be judge, jury, and executioner for people who are not our own.”

They are not tearing it down, I bought this building. And that building. And that one over there. This will be the first Wakandan International Outreach Center.

A movie filled with quotes about helping one another, bringing communities together through outreach and brotherhood, sharing this planet, fixing our own mistakes and avoiding the path of violence… Who can deny that we need this kind of movie in these days? Have these quotes ever been more relevant than they are today with everything which is happening these days? We are in the throws of a global pandemic and during these times minority groups need to fight for their right to be treated the same as everyone else… Let’s all watch Black Panther together and learn something of living in harmony!
